🏥 Healthcare · 🧠 Agentic AI
Brigid, agentic solution FOR healthcare WORKFORCE (1st place in EM Hackathon)
TL;DR | Built an entirely new agentic experience and branding from scratch overnight. Led design-driven product ideation as the sole designer in the entire Hackathon. Our team’s approach subsequently stood out by putting our users first + building UX and branding step-by-step based on who they are and their needs.

THE PROJECT
In 2025, the MIT Sloan Enterprise Management Hackathon (sponsored by SAP) tackled the talent shortage problem in healthcare and how providers and the workforce in the industry could be empowered, not replaced, by agentic AI as a solution.
With the time that we had, we reached into our own personal networks and spoke with doctors, nurses, and medical staff at the forefront of healthcare to better understand their day-to-day pain points. We decided to scope our problem space to the exact point in with the healthcare workforce must pass through to practice their care (and subsequently mitigate the shortage issue).
Problem Statement: Medical professionals at all stages struggle with inefficient, overwhelming, and time-consuming exam prep. How might we create a smarter, more personalized way to study—one that fits their experience level, time constraints, and real-world demands?
Our pitch: Agentic learning guide / coach that simplifies and optimizes medical exam preparation for nurses and doctors through AI-driven, personalized study plans. I was responsible for building out the entire product design, branding, and visual scheme for Brigid.

OUTCOMES & IMPACT
1st place at the MIT Enterprise Management Hackathon
Positive reception from SAP, judges (healthcare and AI specialists) on launching this product in real life
THOUGHTS MOVING FORWARD
Involve human reviewers / peer forum
Solely relying on AI to evaluate user’s needs and progress could risk error / misguidance (i.e. hallucinations). Human in the loop can both mitigate this and increase users’ trust.
Provide further transparency on learning progress
Related to the issue of trust above, providing extensive detail on how Brigid is making certain conclusion about the user’s progress can help them understand why they may need to work on / skip certain areas, etc.
A/B test different extent of personified Brigid throughout the experience (start with none as control)
This is a very initial design - it would be great to validate how much users would find helpful vs distracting to have an AI avatar.
Could maybe bypass some of this effort by observing other competitors / existing studies.
